It's time to PARTY!

It's my birthday this Monday and I know I'm no longer a kid (think you've outgrown that by the age of 38...) but how I would love to still have birthday parties like this. Great preps with making funny cakes and DIY decorations. And than have an amazing day with your friends celebrating and getting your imagination going. Such a lovely vintage room

I love thrifting and therefor have so many vintage toys, puzzles and books for kids. A room like this (seen on the Family Living website) is a cute inspiration. However somehow when decorating a kidsroom I stick to a more modern atmosphere. Must find a good way to blend the two. Still have 2 boysrooms to decorate here in Singapore so a good challenge ahead of me.

Make your own growth chart

If you can draw and paint this is a great idea spotted on the IKEA kids site. Use one of their rolls of paper, paint and your own imagination to create a growth chart. And the good part is. This one you can take with you when you move and write their growth on. I remember us doing this on the kitchen door post. You could really see a growth spurt around 14 years old.

Say 'cheese' for these Torafu architect building blocks

Via the blog of an Australian designer I came across these building block beauties by Torafu Architect in Japan. You can make the most amazing figures and they've used great colors. I've found an online shop where you can buy them but must admit my Japanese is not very good. So not sure if they'll do international shipping.

Party along with Lindex and Littlephant

I'm a huge LINDEX fan and a huge Littlephant fan. Can you imagine my excitement when these two teamed up for a collection. They started last season and how there's a whole bunch of new items in the shop. You can order from most European countries. Make sure you visit the LINDEX shop if you haven't already because there are much more goodies to find for an affordable price (many of my Instagram followers have already placed several orders).

What a lovely gift

This week I received this cute gift from the owner of House of C, a Kitchenbloom poster. Only mine says 'BEWARE OF the little rascals'. Make sure you visit this shop. Not that you'll find a lot of kids decorations but all the more cute stuff for yourself.

Where will I find the patience to wait for all THIS?

Can I please get a big CHEER for the new Littlephant collection. I discovered them when they just sold Swedish books and cute posters. Their website had an announcement for Interior and more kids stuff to come and I just couldn't wait. This is their second seasons of those products and my o my they just keep getting more cute, more desirable and more a neccassity. Still need a bit of patience for these goodies to hit the stores but I love looking through their new catalogue.

How cute are these prints by ISAK that tell the sweetest kids stories. I'm not sure that I know what the top one is. If anyone wants to fill me in please feel free!

To brighten up your breakfast

I really like the quirky illustrations by Ulrika Gustafsson for Plingsulli. First learned about her from the designs she's done for the Ferm LIVING collection and now she also has some really nice cutting boards, trays and dolls in her own shop. Make sure you check out this shop.

What a discovery, this cute TOWER chair that is suitable for kids from 6 months till way past 6 years. From the Budtz Bendix brand. Love the design specially in white. Make sure you visit their website and shop so that you can also see their great cushion designs.

Fake it!

How adorable are these little fake tattoos for kids. I'd even wear them. At TATTYOO they have designs for kids, adults, wedding you name it. Just as long as it is fun! What I love is the collaboration with some great artists such as some of my favourites like Ingela P Arrhenius and Darling Clementine.

Lunch punch cut outs, how cute are these!!!

Zoekend naar een last minute Sinterklaas cadeautje? Kijk dan eens hier naar. Lunch punch vormpjes. Met het steeds populairder worden van de Bento boxen (gedecoreerde lunches) is dit wel een heel handig tool. Brood was nog nooit zo feestelijk!
In the Netherlands we celebrate Sinterklaas on the 5th of December. How cute are these Lunch Punch cutouts as a present! As the Bento box lunches (decorated till pieces of art) are becoming more popular this is a very handy tool for parents making them.

Get ready for December 5th: Sinterklaas!

In the Netherlands we celebrate Sinterklaas on the 5th of December. Get into the spirit with this free download game for the little ones. Designed by StudioFormo for MoodKids website. It's in Dutch but if you want to play all you need to do is follow these instructions:

Print double sets of these pages (download here) on thick paper. You each get one sheet with the houses to play with. Don't let the other one see your sheet during the game. Cut out all the figures from the other sheet.

Following a little story you make up yourself... you each have to place the cut outs in the correct place. For instance... In the red house lives only one person but he has been very nice and receives three gifts. The house with two doors gets five presents. On the roof of the brown house you can find two little helpers. After the story you compare your sheets.

Have you heard about IXXI?

This is something I have to share with you all as I love Advent calenders and this one is TOO CUTE! It's by a Dutch company named IXXI and they have 3 Christmas specials this year. Besides these you can also chose to create your own with a collage of your own pictures, a nice blow up or choose from their wide collection of stock images.
It's a flexible design with little square images that you attach with a little X-shaped system. So you can also grow your IXXI over time.
